  2. Places to go There are many places to go in Athens , Greece . There is the Parthenon which is a building that sits on the top of the hill in Athens . Also , there is the theatre of arts , known as the theatre of Dionysus . It’s the most elegant throne belonged to the priest of Dionysos . For dinner ,you can eat at a fancy restaurant , known as Petrino . Pertrino is a cuisine restaurant on the street named , Themistokleous .

  3. Transportation Transportation is hard to get at Athens with all the busy streets and people. There is the subway or metro system that links the city with Piraeus , suburbs and downtown Athens . Rent a car at Auto Pegasus and go out for a midnight drive by the sea .

  4. Governments Between about 2000and 12000 B.C. , all Greek city states seem to have been monarchies . They are ruled by the king’s orders . Athens, in 510 B.C. , created the first democratic government . Soon , other Greek city- states imitated them . Most of the people in Athens couldn’t vote . Mainly , women , slaves , foreigners , and children .

  5. Culture The cultures are usually about gods and goddesses. The main god is Zeus , the lord of the sky and rain. He is also the ruler of the Olympian gods . He is married to Hera but , he is famous for his affairs. Poseidon , god of water , is the brother with Zeus He was wildly worshiped by seamen . He is married to Amphitrites , a granddaughter of the Titans Oceanus . Athena , daughter of Zeus , is the Greek goddess of intelligent activity , arts and literature . She is fierce and brave in battle . She was Zeus’s favorite child . She could use any of his weapons , including the lightning bolt .

  6. Natural Geography Greece is settled in Southeastern Europe . It is a peninsular country . It owns 2,000 islands . Greece is divided in island groups for organized prefectures called “nomoi “ . In 1829 , Greece achieved independence from the Ottoman Empire .

  7. Famous Mountains Mount Olympus is Greece’s highest and the home to the Gods of Greek Mythology . It has good weather for a daring hike or a skiing trip .

  8. Oceans Aegean sea is the third largest sea in the Eastern Mediterranean sea after the Lonian sea . The temperature under 400 m is 13 c . It is the home of 450 species of fish , migrants from the Red sea and the Indian ocean . There are 12 types of cetacean , whales and dolphins to Cuvier’s beaked whales . There are also 110 monk seals and loggerheads sea turtles , green sea turtles , and leatherback sea turtles .

  9. Attica Park Attica park is the place for relaxation and science . These are the animals that have been rescued from disasters to losing their homes for buildings and humans . Go see the World of Reptiles that includes pythons , boas , crocodiles , and also many other reptiles . They have a Greek fauna . It includes wolfs , brown bears , foxes , wild cats , lynxes etc.

  10. Cont. They also have added a major extension , the African Savannah , which holds Giraffes , Zebras , and Antelopes . They also have Lamas , Jaguars , Snow leopards , and very rare white lions and other beautiful mammals .
