EQIP Environmental Quality Incentives Program
Eligibility for an individual. • Any ONE of the following may be used to document • Engaged or having an interest. • FSA Report 156EZ and be in the SCIMS database • Must have control of the land for proposed contract period • In compliance with Highly Erodible Land and • wetland conservation provisions (AD 1026) • Average Adjusted Gross Income (CCC-933) • A person or legal entity shall not be eligible to receive any • benefit if the AGI of a person or legal entity exceeds $1,000,000, • unless not less than 66.66 percent of the average adjusted • gross income of the person or legal entity is average • adjusted gross farm income.
Eligibility for an entity • In addition to the requirements for an individual, • DUNS Number (Data Universal Numbering System) • All members have to have a tax ID number CCC-901 or CCC-902 • If applying as an entity, the entity must have a tax ID number • All members must sign the application and contract • After the contract is obligated the entity may assign • a person or persons through Power of Attorney.
Starting the process, Begin by going to the Farm Service Center Go to the Farm Service Agency and get a Farm Number Get your data into the SCIMS System
In the NRCS office fill out the application, CPA 1200.
An NRCS employee will visit with you on your farm to start the planning process. Identify problems and opportunities To determine your goals Inventory resources Analyze resource data
Work with you to: Formulate alternatives Evaluate alternatives Make decisions At this point we may develop a contract provide an incentive to initiate the plan. Evaluate the plan, how well did the resource concern get addressed and where do we go from here.
EQIP available practices that could be applied to a pecan enterprise. Practices are applied based on resource need. 590 - Nutrient Management 309 - Ag Chemical Handling Facility 315 - Herbaceous Weed Control 595 - Integrated Pest Management 441 - Irrigation System-micro (conversion) 430 - Irrigation Pipeline 449 - Irrigation Water Management 340 - Cover Crop (legumes)

CSP Conservation Stewardship Program This incentives program rewards those who are doing a good job of resource management and provides opportunities to increase the efficiency of your enterprises. There are a variety of enhancements for each land use, Access the CSP information through the Georgia website or visit your local NRCS office.
CSP is a continuous signup program. The most recent sign up period was held in Fiscal Year 2012 Funding decisions and guidance for the 2013 Fiscal year will be release once it is issued from NHQ. You can still apply now and our local offices Will work with you through the decision Making process once the next signup date is established.
