By Thomas J. Schreiber TERMINATOR
In a post-apocalyptic 2029, artificial intelligent machines seek to exterminate what is left of the human race.
Possibility? Given the fact that technology is advancing so fast, and we already have prosthetic limbs that move like real limbs using the electrical impulses of our own nervous system. Could something like this actually happen?
Artificial intelligence With the use of technology we have artificial intelligent robots that can mimic a lot of aspects of humans. • ASIMO –Hondas advanced humanoid robot. http://world.honda.com/ASIMO/ • Jules- A disembodied androgynous head that can automatically mimic the facial expressions and lip movements of humans. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1085059/Pictured-The-robot-pull-faces-just-like-human-being.html
Our Future With all these technologies and new ones that are yet to be discovered what is the risk that something like terminator could happen in the future? My opinion it may be possible. I don’t think it will be long before machines will be able to want to ‘live’.
Risks What if they want to ‘live’ and then see no purpose for human lives. We might be terminated…..
