  1. Our Forest School Diary 2016 – 7 Marchmorning Bug Houses

  2. Getting ready Everybody is getting used to wearing their warm clothes on a Monday

  3. Walking to forest school We walk in a sensible line to our Forest School

  4. Our activity – bug houses We explore a different area to find some elder. When elder is cut more stems grow up from the cut

  5. Boundary flags We set up our boundary flags. We have to stay inside them

  6. Bug houses We pass around the elder – is there a smell, what does it feel like, is it soft or hard?

  7. Bug houses Everybody is told how to use a potato peeler. We start taking the bark off the elder

  8. Bug houses Working as a team was important today

  9. Bug houses Then we use a tent peg to take out the pith in the middle of the elder

  10. Bug houses We tie them all together and put them somewhere bugs might be

  11. Bug houses Some great places to hide our bug houses

  12. faces Mostly Happy faces but a few Sad faces because they did not have enough time or the team did not work well together
