Why should I understand art? • Being inquisitive is a good quality that tends to expand your understanding of what it means to be a human being. • Art often attempts to present something meaningful, universally important, and timeless as it relates to being a human being. • Understanding art often means that you are participating/exercising your mind with challenging experiences which can help develop your ability to think critically. • Artistic expression can be among the highest forms of intelligent demonstration.
What could all of this mean? • Could it not mean this?: One who aspires to make or interact with the best in Art is aspiring to challenge themselves to be a part of the most well-rounded opportunities for thinking and living. • What does it mean to be visually literate?
