It should be used for all FMX presentations. • Staff will add slides to the beginning of your slide deck, including: • A title slide (presentation title and faculty) • Activity Disclaimer • Disclosure • Biographical information • Learning Objectives as they appeared in the needs assessment. • Associated Sessions (if applicable) • Audience Engagement System Instructions
Presentation Outline (Cont.) • Faculty should include the following slides in their presentation: • Audience Engagement System Questions (see slide 6 for additional information) • Practice Recommendations • Contact Information (optional) • Resources/Supplemental Material (Optional) • Staff will add a Question/Answer slide to the end of your slide deck.
Presentation Best Practices • Slide title: 32-40 point Arial font • Titles on individual slides are not required, but are recommended. • It is okay to have multiple slides with identical titles if the topic content spans multiple slides.
Presentation Best Practices (Cont.) • Slide content: no smaller than 20 point font. • Bullet points are recommended for lists, but not necessary to begin text in paragraph form. • Text and images must not be placed on or overlap the orange ribbon below. • Delete any visible slide numbers.
Audience Engagement System (AES) • Please include 3-4 poll questions in your presentation. • Make sure the title of the slide indicates there is a poll question for audience response. • Denote the correct answer in the notes section below the slide for staff (CORRECT ANSWER: C) • Consider including a slide that further explains the correct answer.
Poll Question Example Which of the following statements is NOT a legitimate reason to include polling questions in your FMX presentation? • They provide an additional educational opportunity for learners by testing their knowledge. • The audience is more engaged when asked to take action through responding to the questions. • They allow the faculty to gather information about the audience, and tailor the content if necessary. • Asking and answering the questions will create world peace.
