  2. PHYSICAL Adaptations • One of the physical traits of an Angler fish is its lure.

  3. Adaptations • One of the Angler fish’s adaptations is the lure on its head. • Another adaptation is the male Angler fish attaches to the female Angler fish.

  4. Behavior Adaptations • When the male angler fish is born it has no mother to protect it from the dangers of the ocean because of that it is born to travel.

  5. Ecosystem/Habitat • The angler fish lives in deep sea trenches • The temperatures in the deep sea trenches are about 39 degrees F • Deep sea trenches are mostly rock and dirt

  6. Diet/food chain • Angler fish eat any smaller fish in the ocean • The angler fish is a carnivore because it eats all smaller fish • The angler fish is a predator nothing eats a Angler fish it is at the top of the food chain • The Angler fish’s niche is tertiary consumer

  7. Interesting Facts • Angler fish are no more than 5 inches tall • The male is a lot smaller than the female • Angler fish are so heavy that it has to wobble to move • Angler fish glow in the dark • Angler fish bones are flexible
