duct sock Heating and air conditioning system keeps the boat at a temperature between 68 and 82 degrees F. Lightweight and washable fabric duct socks replace metal ducts and improve air quality. Click “Home” to clear the screen 4
Low-flow toilets and waterless urinals reduce waste water by 80,000 gallons per year. Using filtered river water to flush toilets saves use of municipal water. The boat releases NO waste water into the rivers. Wastewater is kept in a tank onboard, and pumped into the ALCOSAN sanitary sewer line at dock. Click “Home” to clear the screen 5
Explorer is designed to accommodate 60-90 students in each school field trip, and can hold up to 150 people plus our crew for other events. Our older boat can only hold a maximum of 43, including our crew. Click “Home” to clear the screen 6
Cabinets, wood doors, carpeting, ceiling and interior surfaces all have high post-industrial recycled content (waste materials from factories) or are made from rapidly renewable resources. The cabinets are made of WoodStalk, a recycled wheat straw product. Click “Home” to clear the screen 7
