GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION AND TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE • Shortest and the fastest route between Western Europe and Asia as well as between Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean • 3 out of 10 Pan-European transport corridors pass through Croatia • Newly constructed highway system • 6 sea ports – Croatia is the most favourable country for the maritime transport from Asia, Australia and Oceania through the Suez Channel to Europe – shortening shipping time by at least 5 to 8 days. It is also the best solution for transport of goods from Europe to North and South America and Africa. • 7 national airports
