  2. IMITATORS Ephesians 5:1-2 (NLT) 5 Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. 2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

  3. IMITATORS Because of His nature in us

  4. IMITATORS 2 Peter 1:4 (NLT) 4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

  5. IMITATORS Colossians 3:10 (NLT) 10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

  6. IMITATORS Because the Holy Spirits helps us

  7. IMITATORS Romans 8:26 (NLT) 26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

  8. IMITATORS John 16:13 (NLT) 13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

  10. IMITATORS Psalm 119:9 (NLT) 9 How can a young person stay pure?    By obeying your word.

  11. IMITATORS Matthew 4:4 (NLT) 4 But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

  12. IMITATORS Because we stay connected to Him

  13. IMITATORS Matthew 26:41 (NLT) 41 Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!”

  14. IMITATORS Luke 5:16 (NLT) 16 But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.

  15. IMITATORS Be like God or don’t take on His identity

  16. IMITATORS 1 John 3:10 (NLT) 10 So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God.
