1. Those Who are Imitators of God – Walk in Love (v1-7) • Three characteristics of love: • Love forgives. (4:32, 5:1) • Love follows the example. (5:2) • Love is pure. (5:3-7)
2. Those Who are Imitators of God – Walk in the Light (v8-14) • When we walk in the light we are: • Fruitful. (v9) • Find the will of God. (v10) • Fellowship with light. (v11-12) • Freedom. (v13-14)
3. Those Who are Imitators of God – Walk in Wisdom (v15-21) • To walk in wisdom is to: • Walk skillfully. (v15) • Redeem the time. (v15-17) The devil’s biggest lie: There is plenty of time.
Be Filled With the Spirit • The inward result. (v19) • The upward result. (v20) • The outward result. (v21)
Conclusion We must aspire to be like the Apostle Paul. “Therefore, I urge you, imitate Me”. 1 Cor 4:16 “Imitate Me, just as I also imitate Christ”. 1 Cor 11:1 We all should be an example worth following.
