Recommended Media Guidelines Epson is working with leading manufacturers to develop unique label media that provide great, instant-dry images that stand up to water and alcohol-based cleaners when used in the SecurColor printer. These media are approved by Epson but available from a variety of suppliers to make it easy for you to get the shapes, sizes and quantities you need. "Epson Approved" label media for the SecurColor inkjet printer include: 50# Premium Plain Paper Label Matte Coated Paper Label 3 mil Polypropylene label The SecurColor inkjet label printer features special inks that dry quickly and resist water on plain paper. Non-approved inkjet, inkjet/laser or thermal transfer paper labels may provide limited performance in the printer. Coated direct thermal and thermal transfer paper labels and all film/synthetic labels not approved by Epson for the SecurColor printer are not recommended and may actually damage the printer.
