  2. Emotion • Psychologists define it as a reaction to a situation that involves a person’s mind, body, and behavior. • What are some common emotions? • Love, Anger, Fear, Guilt, Happiness, and Sadness.

  3. Love • Many types of love • Love between family members, love in marriage, and love between friends • You can feel love towards places and things as well as people

  4. Anger • Muscles tense, heart rate speeds up, and breathing rate increases. • Anger can be helpful or harmful. • Can provide you with the energy necessary to try to change things and become constructive. • Or may influence someone to give up on something and become destructive.

  5. Fear • Everyone is afraid of something • When you feel fear your heart races and breathing quickens.

  6. Guilt • You feel guilty when you think you have done something wrong. • Guilt can be a helpful emotion. • It can stop you from doing something you know is wrong. • It can make you take action to correct something you’ve done. • However, guilt can make you doubt yourself and your actions.
