USCG | Intelligence Support for MDA | MAY 2003 MDA Summary • Data needed for MDA largely exists • But scattered and diffuse efforts • IT integration for data and programs useful to MDA not in place • Cooperation and collaboration responsibilities for MDA analysis and support not fully defined • COTS based IT architecture can quickly assist diverse users support and respond to MDA requirements COP MDA • Legacy data storage and computing could be retained using distributed data store approach • IT infrastructure and information sharing capabilities could be rolled out in phases • Cooperation and coordination among MDA cop is essential
