What they make • Librarians usually make $54,500 per year and $24.20 per hour. • The lowest 10% of librarians make less than $33,590.
How to become one • Most librarians need a bachelor’s degree in library science and sometimes a master’s degree in library science. • A master’s degree in library science usually takes 1 to 2 years to complete. • In most states a license or a certification is required.
What librarians do • Librarians help you find information in many resources or help in any other work in the library that needs to be done such as check out books or find websites for a certain topic. • Sometimes librarians do work you wouldn’t think they had to do such as pick new books and organize the books.
How a librarian uses math * Librarians use math when they are organizing their books or sorting their books and they can use math while ordering books.
