Overview • Enterprise Integration And Enterprise Modeling • CIMOSA Overview • CIMOSA Reference Architecture • CIMOSA Process Based Enterprise Modeling • CIMOSA Integrating Infrastructure • CIMOSA And The System Life Cycle
Levels Of Integration • Physical Systems Integration • Application Integration • Business Integration
CIMOSA Overview • CIMOSA is an ESPRIT supported enterprise modeling solution • The Reference Architecture supports the description of the enterprise, from the management level to the shop floor level • CIMOSA consists of an Enterprise Modeling Framework and an Integrating Infrastructure • CIMOSA models used not only in decision support, but also in model driven operation monitoring and control

CIMOSA Modeling Framework • Three Architectural Levels Generic Level Catalogue for basic building blocks Partial Level Library of partial models applicable to particular purposes Particular Level Model of a particular enterprise built from building blocks and partial models.
CIMOSA Modeling Framework (2) • Three Modeling Levels Requirements Modeling For gathering business requirements Design Modeling For specifying optimized and system-oriented representation of the business requirements Implementation Modeling For describing a complete CIM system and all its implemented components
CIMOSA Modeling Framework (3) • Four Integrated Views Function View For describing the expected behavior and functionality of the enterprise Information View For describing the integrated information objects of the enterprise Resource View For describing the resource objects of the enterprise Organization View For describing the organization of the enterprise
