A Global Profession • According to the International Actuarial Association, the actuarial profession is the most truly globally organized profession. • The IAA currently has 44 Full members plus 23 Observer members comprising over 30,000 fully qualified actuaries in more than 50 countries. • The IAA is recognized as a non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization on the Roster of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

  3. A Global Business • Transatlantic Reinsurance is a leading international reinsurance organization with operations in twelve different countries on six continents. • Roughly half of our business emanates from outside the United States. • We write business in more than 80 different countries.

Recruiting Tips • Keep an open mind. • Don’t mistake a lack of confidence speaking English for poor communication skills. • Weigh a person’s accomplishments against any obstacles or barriers he or she may have had to overcome. • Remember that as with any team, not all jobs within a department require the exact same set of skills.
