Thursday evening

Join us in an evening of prayer, praise, and worship as we lift our voices to the Lord, proclaim His goodness, and seek His guidance and protection. Let His word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Pray for ourselves, our families, and the world, and offer our thanks and confession. Conclude with the Lord's Prayer and glorify God for His infinite power and grace.

  1. Thursday evening

  2. WE COME TO GOD IN PRAYER It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night. Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

  3. WE PRAY PSALM 116 I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.

  4. For you, Lord, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.

  5. What shall I return to the Lord for all his goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. I will fulfil my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.

  6. GOD SPEAKS TO US Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

  10. WE PRAY FOR OURSELVES AND THE WORLD Jesus says: If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Let us pray. Father in heaven:glorify your name.

  11. We thank you, Father in heaven, for the gift of marriage and families: lead us to live honourably in regard to sex, and cleanse us from all impurity. Father in heaven: glorify your name. Thank you for placing overseers to govern your holy church: watch over the leaders of your church so that they guard the heritage of the apostles. Father in heaven: glorify your name.

  12. Thank you for protecting us in times of trouble: defend our police, fire department, armed services, and all who serve to protect our society from danger. Father in heaven: glorify your name. The night holds no terror if you are near: shield us from fearful dreams and all activities of the evil one. Father in heaven: glorify your name.

  14. I thank you, heavenly Father, through your dear Son, Jesus Christ, that you have graciously protected me today. I ask you to forgive all my sins and the wrong which I have done. And graciously keep me this night. In your hands I place my body and soul and all that is mine. Let your holy angel be with me, so that the evil one may have no power over me. Amen.

  16. WE GLORIFY GOD Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us – to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
