  2. Which way did they go to get here? Ellis Angel

  3. 1.These people are taking their first steps onto American soil. Hypothesize as to why they chose to come to the United States instead of living in their homelands. What is so special about America that makes others want to live here?

  4. 2.Imagine what it would feel like to be in these kids’ situation. Describe how you think they would be feeling after arriving in a foreign country where they don’t speak the language. Make connections to experiences in your own life if you can.

  5. 3.These immigrants have just arrived in a new country and it looks like they are hungry. Put yourself into this picture and describe what it might smell like or feel like for these hungry people after their long trip.

  6. 4. If you had to pack up all of your belongings and move to an unfamiliar country, what would you bring with you? What are some of the important things in your life. Keep in mind you can only bring what you can fit into an average suitcase.
