  1. Reminders! 1.Because of Senior Recognition Day on Friday, we will have the Vocab 8 quiz on Thursday. 2. Your Unit 2 Test is also on Thursday. This is only to give you time to prepare, we will still be getting started on Unit 3 today and tomorrow. 3. Don’t forget that the study guide (5 pts) and 3 estates chart are both due on test day! April 8, 2014Brit lit

  2. Please be ready to take notes on both William Shakespeare and the Renaissance time period in England that we will need to understand for this unit. You have been given guided notes for this, but you need to stay awake and focused! PPT Unit 3: The renaissance

  3. The following discussion is usually one of the favorite days in class (according to all of my students). In fact, it usually goes so long that we have to finish it up over two class periods. • In order for this to work, I need you to keep the following in mind: • Open-minded and respectful (religion) • Patient and participatory • Honest and safe Agree or Disagree?

  4. I will display a statement on the board. All of these statements are related to themes/issues discussed in Hamlet. The right side of the classroom (my right) will be for those who agree with the statement on the board. The left side of the classroom will be for those who disagree with the statement on the board. There is NO middle. Just go to the side that you are leaning most towards and make a decision. Please remember: The same people can’t always be chosen to speak. Always be ready to defend your choice if called on. “Because” is not a reason. PPT Agree or Disagree continued…

  5. Study up! The study guide is worth 5 pts on test day. Don’t forget Vocab 8 (also on Thurs.) If possible, grab your own copy of Hamlet from any local bookstore (new or used—No Fear Shakespeare is fine!) by Monday. Homework
