impasse • Impasse – noun – A situation in which no progress is possible, because of disagreement. • After Michael was proven guilty for violating his probation, Judge Abrams extended his probation because he felt that the situation was at an impasse.
jargon • Jargon – noun – slang. • As Reba was texting her mother she happened to use the text jargon “lol” meaning laugh out loud and her mother didn’t understand.

preeminent • Preeminent – adj – Superior, outstanding, distinguished, above the rest. • Billy had had asked his mother to buy him a ball, his mother asked him “would you like the blue ball, its preeminent you will find no other like it.”
