  2. First thing…. • If you’re running Lion or later, YOU NEED SCROLL BARS: In System Preferences, General:

  3. if you're off campus • you need the VPN • VPN = Virtual Private Network • It makes the Internet a secure, private, members-only network of limited access

  4. Get the Cisco UB VPN Client http://www.buffalo.edu/ubit/service-guides/software/downloading/macintosh-software/managing-mac-software/anyconnect.html

  5. Run the Cisco UB VPNhost: ubvpn.buffalo.edu In the dock

  6. at the bottom of the page http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads

  7. In the App store

  8. it will be in your Applications folder. Run it.

  9. create a NEW connection 3. CLOSE, to end 1. START 2. fill in the form

  10. this is VERY important 1. Select your new connection 2. Edit it 3. Select Redirection 4. Add a local folder by selecting the + sign 5. Browse to a suitable place on YOUR MAC (i.e. Documents)

  11. Now, double click on your connection Double-click on it

  12. Windows on a Mac you might get this warning. Ignore it. Your Mac will look like this

  13. under Programs, run MATLAB

  14. MATLAB!

  15. Set current folder to local drive your Mac

  16. creating/saving a MATLAB program

  17. File… Save As… your Mac

  18. Running Your Script
