Preach the Word 2 Tim.4:2-4– “2 preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables.” To the lost but also to local saints 1 Tim.4:6,11; 2 Tim.2:14

  3. Be an Example 1 Tim.4:12– “12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an ensample to them that believe, in word, in manner of life, in love, in faith, in purity.” Titus 2:7– “7 in all things showing thyself an ensample of good works; in thy doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity,” Phil.3:17– “17 Brethren, be ye imitators together of me, and mark them that so walk even as ye have us for an ensample.”

  4. Work to Restore Erring 2 Tim.2:25– “25 in meekness correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth,” Titus 1:13– “13 This testimony is true. For which cause reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,” 2 Tim.4:2– “2 preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.”

  5. Teach the Lost 1 Tim.4:16– “16 Take heed to thyself, and to thy teaching. Continue in these things; for in doing this thou shalt save both thyself and them that hear thee.” Train Others to Teach the Lost 2 Tim.2:2– “2 And the things which thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

  6. Help Organize Congregation Titus 1:5– “5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldestset in order the things that were wanting, and appoint elders in every city, as I gave thee charge;”

  7. Financially Support 1 Cor.9:4-14– “4 Have we no right to eat and to drink? … 6 Or I only and Barnabas, have we not a right to forbear working? 7 What soldier ever serveth at his own charges? … 14 Even so did the Lord ordain that they that proclaim the gospel should live of the gospel.” 2 Cor.11:8– “8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them that I might minister unto you;”

Pray For Him Col.4:2,3– “2 Continue stedfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving; 3 withal praying for us also, that God may open unto us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds;” 1 Thess.5:25– “25 Brethren, pray for us." 2 Thess.3:1– “1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified, even as also it is with you;”

  10. Encourage Them Col.4:17– “17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.” Examine What is Taught Acts 17:11– “11 Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.”
