  2. The Location • The location is between the mountains and the coastal plain.

  3. The land forms • The piedmont hilly rolling land borders the coastal plain. The piedmont extends from Virgina to Alabama.

  4. Climate • The northern part of north Carolina piedmont plateau receives the most snow. Averaging about ten inches a year in the north western section. The rest of north Carolina piedmont plateau receives an Average of one of four inches of snow per year.

  6. Other information • Piedmont is a french word for foot of the mountain.
