  2. Japanese Tea Ceremony • Japanese tea ceremony comes from Japan. It also can be called Chanoyu. Cha means Tea and noyu means ceremony. It’s celebrated on either summer, spring or winter. In this ceremony we serve a green powdered Japanese tea called, Matcha also, we serve some special Japanese sweets such as Mochi and sometimes we might serve some dumplings after we drink the tea.

  3. History • The Japanese Tea ceremony won’t be known here if the Chinese people don’t introduce the Green tea to us. China was the first country who has created this ritual, but because Japan and China has relationship between each other so, it is also done in Japan. The people who has found this is Kakamura, he has introduced the tea ceremony to the Chinese people and Chinese people has brought/share they’re rituals and traditions to Japanese people.

  4. General Steps(People who drink) 1. Bow when you receive the cup of tea which is called a chawan. 2. Take the chawan with your right hand and place it in the palm of your left hand. 3. Turn the chawan clockwise three times before you take a drink. 4. Drink the tea only in 3 slurps if we can finish the tea in 3 slurps the better it is. 5. Turn the chawan counterclockwise and return to the host.

  5. General Steps(For the tea maker) • Open the Japanese Door • Give the guest some Japanese sweets • Bow to the guest • Give the customer a seat • Prepare the tea tools • Make the tea • Give the tea to the costumer
