  2. Background – before CMP • Building Management System – 25 years • 6 combined heat and power – 14 years • Naturally ventilated Library – 14 years • TEAM and sub-metering – 8 years • 2 BREEAM Excellent buildings

  3. Coventry Universityoperates 6 Combined Heat and Power (CHP) units. These generate around 15% of all electricity used on campus and make a huge contribution towards meeting our heat demand. TECHNOLOGY

  4. The brand new Hub building achieved a BREEAM excellent rating. It is has an open loop ground source heat pump that provides cooling and two large rainwater harvesting tanks that provide water to flush the toilets. It also has an attractive green roof garden that reduces surface water run off to the drains

  7. In 2010/2011 Coventry Universityinstalled over £150,000 worth of lighting upgrades, sensors and controls in most main campus buildings. Further energy savings have been made by voluntary “tube twisting” undertaken to disable unnecessary tubes CONTROLS AND SENSORS
