Using Video to Support Instruction • Understand the potential benefits to teachers and students of using videos to support instruction for introducing and remediating skills, supporting RTI strategies, differentiating instruction, and gaining more individualized instruction time for students. • Receive technical and practical information about managing video instruction and monitoring student progress. We will also discuss some of the pitfalls teachers may face and how to cope with some of the common challenges that may arise. • Consider the use of video as a component for supporting student learning, understand the range of resources available for doing so including the use of the Edmodo learning platform, and develop an action plan for implementing the use of video in instruction.
