  2. To choose courses, every student should have • Transcript • Colored Course Selection Form • MHS Course Catalog • MHS Registration Dates/Deadlines

  3. Step 1 – Required Classes • Use your transcript and MHS Grad Requirements • Are you on track to graduate? • Have you failed any classes? • Are you meeting the HEAR/college admission requirements?

  4. Step 1 – Required Classes • 1) Language Arts 4 credits • 2) Math 3 credits • 3) Social Studies 3 credits • 4) Science 3 credits • 5) Health/PE 2 credits • 6) Technology .5 credit • 7) Fine/Performing Arts .5 credit

  5. Step 2 – Elective classes • 1) Think about your PWR goal. • 2) Review your Career Cluster Survey on College in Colorado • 3) Identify your career goals and courses available at MHS that match that goal • 4) Check the Career Cluster handout on pgs. 8 and 9 in your Course Catalog

  6. Step 3 – Notice prerequisites • Auditions/tryouts • Signatures/approval • Applications • Meet deadlines!

  7. turn in Course Selection Form by March 7 • Course selection form with all necessary signatures. • Applications? Auditions? Teacher Approval? • See teachers or your counselor for questions.
