1. Case of 59 yr old Senior Executive of a Reputed Bank .Suffering from borderline diabetes & I.B.S .He was progressively losing weight.

2. CHIEF COMPLAINT • During the day every hour I have to go for urination. • I was about to change a job and it was a high profile job. It’s almost like a once in a life time opportunity but then I thought that with this kind of a problem, I might have difficulties. • By taking allopathic medicines, I found that my frequency of urination was increasing. Atleast that time there were no signs of cancerous symptoms. • So with all this, my anxiety level has gone up very high. My office doctor has given me Alzolam - to control my anxiety levels.

3. Last September I got a very bad case of viral fever, which affected my respiratory tract. • I was coughing - it was a very deep cough, and it so happened that blood came out with my sputum -very thick blood. And I got damn scared. • All tests were negative. • Doctor gave me some medicine and within 4-5 days the bleeding stopped but that left me very shaken (hg). • Now again, in November I had a lot of turbulence in the office (hg). Suddenly I find myself (hg) holding the most important position in my level - very advisory kind of aposition.

4. I had a dream that I am on a slope in a car and I think breaks are failed (he said that it could be an indication for loss of ego and loss of position). • I am having a different kind of an assignment where I don’t feel very committed because I don’t feel the way we are restructuring is right. But being in the hierarchy organization - either I remain or I quit. I move around, I go for meetings. All this is ok but it is not substantial.

5. Police officer “Kiranbedi” became the Commissioner of Delhi police. Because of politics she was sidelined and sent to some DG home guard, where there is no work. • A lady who is the first engineer, chairman of a famous engineering company in Pune, said that she was a personality who without work could not work. • I can understand her mind because I am in a similar situation.

6. If you look at the kind of anxiety levels that are griping my body today - One is office and second is health. • But anything that happens to me I get very panicky . I am a bit scared of allopath. So I came to a Homoeopath. • My anxiety is that frequency of urination still remains. Because it should not turn malignant .

7. We feel that retiring means death is knocking on your doors, you suddenly feel unwanted, irrelevant. If youare productive, you can contribute, so this definitely does play on my mind. And the third level of anxiety is that I have an elder daughter and she is still not married. • About 20 days back, I got another bout of chest infection, my throat, voice box, just dropped and I just could not speak. • The cough tears my chest (hg), it is as if there is a grenade stone in my chest, it may explode (hg).

8. I enjoy life, I enjoy party. I go out and enjoy. • Then there is another side - anything that happens to me I just start brooding. • Earlier I was more enthusiastic about life. Then my responses slowed down. Suddenly this thing happened, which is not right. • My digestion has slowed.

9. What is bothering you the maximum? • If my urination is solved, my sleep will come back. And if I sleep well, I can face the world. • The bladder does not hold (hg). It gives immediate pressure.  • What I feel is that a bladder should have the capacity (hg) to hold urine. • So the bladder should have applied the pressure only when it reaches up to certain point. So is it that a muscles of the bladder is not (hg) working so that it is not been able to control the right level of the fluid. With less level of fluid it is giving pressure.

10. I don’t get good sleep, you feel recharged (hg) your battery gets recharged if you sleep well. • I feel drowsy in the day time. I am not of that eminence and I need money - that is affecting my ego.  I mean, here you commanded a position which was like any prestigious position. I feel like I have not been utilized and I have not been recognized, I feel sidelined since last 3-4 months.

14. Sidelined or no work what is the deep down feeling? • Sidelined means you are not the part of main stream (hg). •  This new chairman has come, he has his new ideas. Yesterday I was in board meeting, many felt sidelined. •  Deep down you feel less important to the organisation. That your position is not wanted in the (hg) system and I do not have age in my favor. •  I mean, he does not require worth, he does not recognize worth. That gentleman’s ego is so over helming. • More I go towards retirement - they can’t give me an importantportfolio. I had an unblemished (hg) sort of career path. Suddenly the new man has come and he wants to do things differently. This is sidelined.

15. For urination, probably the medicine is not working because another ego (hg) disturbance has come. Progression of medicine should have taken root. But since deep seated ego - turmoil has come in, so it is upsetting the whole equation. • Feeling of Worthlessness. • You are holding an important portfolio. I was an executive director. •  Difference was that everyone was beholden (hg) to me - Industrialist officers, entire, committee, I piloted board papers. • Now no one is beholden to me.

16. What were you enjoying then? • Power (hg) the engine power. • You feel respected. People look up to you, you feel important (hg). • So what’s the opposite feeling? You feel, you are given importance (hg) by the system. You are given importance by the industry, by the banking community. You are given importance by your people. So from that importance you come down(hg). • Feel  Totally shattered. • Importance is like a great aphrodisiac. (hg). Importance keeps you kicking. Why old politician won’t die early ? - Because the power is the biggest. So power is a greataphrodisiac (hg).

17. You were handling board meeting everything, and if you are unceremoniously removed without no fault of yours. Just because the organization wants, you are caught on wrong side of age which is not in your favor then. • Unfortunately, I have seen the whole spectrum of leadership. • My stomach is another weak point I get gas, goes appetite all those things.

18. Then how is the feeling? • I will give you another example, let’s say you are a head of surgery. But because tomorrow some madcap principal of college comes, and you are made a councilor to advise only first year MBBS students. You are removed from your surgery, you were dean and professor of surgery, you had done all complicated operations - You are talking to peers in other hospital, suddenly one madcap doctor, says, we don’t want this for whatever reason, you have to council first year MBBS, students.(right side of the periodic table) • Feeling dumped from a position of importance . • I mean helpless, depressed I won’t say suicidal because I never felt suicidal. • I like what that KiranBedi had guts to do – she was too bold and she was going against politicians. So she was sidelined. • She has a very strong personality (hg), never afraid of anything.

19. Worthless is Corrosive, it corrodes - there is a saying in Bengali, if you want to kill a man don’t give him any work. He will leave the organization. • Corroding means acid is eating you (hg). Eating you inside. You will collapse.(hg) • It’s again a simile which I am using to explain cancer which eats your system up and body collapses(hg). So corrosion is like that. •  Everyday, I feel that I am going into an organization which doesn’t want me (he himself connects the situation to phenomenon he explained).It corrodes me in the sense that it’s increasing my misery. •  I feel something is rotating in my system and gnawing at me. And refuses to get out even though I use my logical mind to say that take it easy, it’s ok, even if your signature is not there onpapers.But insect refuses to get out. Though I am a high star personalityI am Leo and I enjoy theimportance (hg) I may not admit it but every person enjoys it. • How do I prevent the corrosiveness. It increases level of anxiety.

20. Tell me all your Dreams? • Since I have always been a very good student - a topper in the university . Now if a man with that kind of academics, has a dream, where he is placed in a situation, where he has to write a paper and he has not prepared – is very tormenting (hg).  I was a very Important person . People used to be amazed at the amount of preparation I would do. Now, I just keep quiet and give little support to my boss that’s all. • I am going somewhere in a Rickshaw, there is a mountain, I am going down the slide. Then I reach somewhere and the whole thing the landscape diffuses, I don’t know what it is? There is no conclusion and there is strangeness in the whole scenario.

21. In office, there is some strike and protest, and I have to join the protest, this disorganization in office causes lot of turbulence . • Suddenly, while driving my car starts going down the slope (hg) and I am trying to put the break, the break is not catching. if I would have not applied break I would have lead somewhere or what followed to countryside or bang against something. How do I get out of this unpleasant dream. That is the coping structure.

22. Hobbies and interest - Music, I read a lot of magazines and sometimes spiritual books.  • Can you describe suffocation / choked feeling?   Claustrophobic (hg) sitting in a plane. It means breathlessness. I am out of it. • I had lonely life from my parents - I mean at the age of six, I went to a hostel. Then after that I studied at my uncle’s place. For 3 years I stayed with father then I went to Engineering. Staying at home was very less. So I didn’t develop that much of roots into the family. I used to respect my father, he was a big person in society, he was respected.

23. Tell me about that slope dream? That immediately happened, when I was demoted, I was taken away from the assignment I was handling. It happened after that. (Immediately he says, that it reflects loss of position).

24. Understanding of the case • In this case we see a person who is a senior executive of a reputed bank, who works hard and is an important person in the organization. • Suddenly when he was asked to do advisory work (less important work), he feels sidelined and not a part of the organization any more (Dream of falling from slope clearly indicates his state, which is loss of power). He gave an example of sidelined feeling with “Kiranbedi” and head surgeon who is not allowed to perform surgery but told to take only lectures (which is less important work for him).

25. Understanding of the case • On asking more he clearly says you, ‘feel respected if have power.’ • But according to him power is not the right word. But being important is the issue. Otherwise it feels worthless. • Like a “Leo”, if ego and respect is not there it feels like corroding (image he used was cancer eating up system and insect refusing to come out). • You have protection of thin skin to prevent corrosion but that is all you can do. • While describing physical complaints he used image of grenade stones explosion (Hg) and issues of 15th column and 5th row. 36. FOLLOW – UP 10/6/08 • My boss was telling other colleague that I was very efficient and capable – I was given importance. • That ‘sidelined’ feeling is much better. • When asked about the diarrhoea – he said that the damage (rt side of the periodic table) was already done.

37. Follow up 17/7/08 • Moods are better. • Bowel motions are better. Frequency is much reduced. • Phobia that something is going to happened is better. • My consciousness is better, I feel more connecting to the world.

38. One and half months left in office, I feel God took away my position but gave back my life.
