This course resulted a substantial improvement of health services at the Sub Centres in Assam, by increasing institutional deliveries and improving out-patient services. • This course has currently been renamed as Bachelor of Science (Community Health) and approved by Union Cabinet (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India) in November 2013 for training mid-level health workers for primary health care in rural areas.
