HIV/AIDS Mainstreaming: Last Quarter In collaboration with the health department and other relevant partners conduct 1 HIV/AID training sessions for 33 Lead farmers in Iringa and Njombe to serve as peer educators for the farmers Carried out further training of TNS Field Staff to carry out sensitization of HIV/AIDS mainstreaming activities Identified partners for HIV/AIDS Mainstreaming and initiated outreach Established 343 kitchen gardens and sensitized on the importance of nutrition for vulnerable communities

HIV/AIDS Mainstreaming: Next Quarter • At the PBG level… • Carry out 1 HIV/AIDS awareness training (about economic impact of HIV/AIDS) with each of the PBGs in Iringa Region (current number = 80) • At the MCP level… • Collaborate with the health department in the region and districts to improve accessibility of male and female condoms including distribution of dispensing machines in 12 MCPs (4 large MCPs Iringa, 5 mini MCPs Iringa, 3 mini MCPs Njombe) • Organize an HIV-related field day (including condom awareness and voluntary counseling and testing services [VCT]) at each of the 12 MCPs (in collaboration with social marketing partners and health department) • As part of our Permaculture Program… • Initiate High nutritional value vegetables ( mushrooms ) to 40 households affected by HIV/AIDS in Kilolo (15), Njombe (15) and Iringa Rural (10) to increase income and nutrition deprived by HIV/AIDS

Where We Hope to Collaborate • At the PBG level… • AMREFhas already helped with training at the Lead Farmer Level, now we are looking for a partner to help carry out awareness training at the PBG level • At the MCP level… • We are hoping to collaborate with PSIon the accessibility of condom dispensing machines • We are hoping to collaborate with PSI, AMREF, TUNAJALI and HISIA CULTURAL TROUPE on the HIV-related field day
