  5. Our Students and Education • 1179 Medical students • 282 Research fellows • 32 Fellows • 116 Medical students from Sakarya University School of Medicine • We recruit students from 19th level. Our goal is to be placed among the first 15th • With the new training area, we have increased classroom space 4 times and laboratory space twice. We have trained 209 physicians and nurses from Nakhichevan since 2006

  10. Clinical Services -PET and Radioactive Iodine Treatment units have newly started to give service, -In 2013 Bone Marrow transplant Unit and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Unit will be taken into service. -Our aim is to meet all the high level medical needs of the people living in our region.

Support and Achievement Scholarships • Scholarships in the name of faculty members, retired faculty members, alumni, non-governmental organizations, volunteers • Most of the new students come from low-income families, so all of them applied for a scholarship   • Our goal is to provide support scholarship to all students who need, and to provide a pleasurable learning environment and improve education quality of the faculty by means of achievement scholaships ScholarshipCommitee

Community Health and Research • We have been organizing camps for children with diabetes and have trained 1200 children with diabetes • We have carried out national and regional activities on smoking and heart health • We have been giving a 24-hour emergency service to acute heart failure patients through balloon and stent applications (in partnership with Directorate of Health) for one and a half year. This year, 240 patients were operated. • We have pioneered the first podology (foot care expertise) program in our country.
