Definition of Nouns & Pronouns Noun: Person, Place, Thing, or Idea. Pronoun: Refers to a noun or takes the place of a noun.
Identifying Them in Sentences Nouns: Look for names of people and places. Also, things like bicycles and paper are nouns. As for ideas, you will want to look for things such as Solar Eclipse. It is an idea, but still a noun. Colors like purple or green are not nouns. Pronouns: When identifying a pronoun you will want to look for words such as he, his, I, and theirs.
Examples Noun in a sentence: The grape is purple. Pronoun in a sentence: She went to the store.
