  3. F.O.A. (Bellwork) • Chris slowly walked up to Elma with his hands behind his back. “So… you want to go with me,” he said nervously. Elma blushed. “Ok.” Chris smiled. • What person is this? • If it’s third person, what type of third person is it?

  4. What person is this? • Chris had liked Elma since the third-grade. Little did he know that Elma liked him too. They both admired one another from a far, and waited. One day, Chris said to Elma, “So… you want to go with me?” Emma felt her stomach sink. She couldn’t believe it. Blushing, she said, “Ok.” Chris smiled.

  5. What person is this? • Chris liked Elma since the third-grade, but he had never found the nerve to tell her. But one sunny day, Chris said to Elma, “So… you want to go with me?” Emma blushed and said, “Ok” Chris smiled.

  6. What person is this? John laughed hollowly. “You’re joking,” he said. The neon light flickered on his face, turning it a ghastly yellow.Veronica shook her head slowly. Her fingers were busy shredding her tear-stained paper tissue. “I’m not joking. It’s all true.”John stood up and banged his fist against the wall, hard, once. He was shaking his head in disbelief. “I’ll have to leave now,” he said, his voice terse.
