1. MPSB – Open Enrollment Newsletter 2014-2015 School Year Published April 11, 2014 Open Enrollment for all Voluntary Insurance Products begins April 15th. A Gladney Agency Representative will be at each location so that each employee can add/delete and/or make changes to his/her voluntary insurance plans and sign their cafeteria plan document for the upcoming 2014-15 plan year. With the implementation of The Affordable Care Act, it is mandatory that each employee sign their cafeteria form even if you do not have insurance and are not making changes. Please see the schedule below of when the representatives will be at your location. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SEE THEM AT SOME POINT BY MAY 16, 2014. There are MANY changes to the offered products this year, so please be aware of them in order to see how they will impact you and your current coverage. Guardian Dental has enhanced benefits and reduced the premiums. You will still be able to go to any dentist, but if you choose a Guardian Network Dentist you will get a more substantial discount on services. Emp. Only $26.50 Emp./Sp. $66.00 Emp./Child $70.00 Family $90.00 Guardian Vision (through VSP) The vision will also be changing to Guardian. Your benefits will stay the same and still be serviced through VSP - for less premium and more out of network benefits. Emp. Only $ 9.50 Emp./Sp. $16.20 Emp./Child $16.50 Family $26.00 We will go over all of these benefits & changes with each employee at open enrollment. Disability Policy Changes: Effective July 1, 2014 The Standard Disability Policy will have a rate increase due to extremely high claims over the past 3 years. Also, there have been some plan changes made in order to keep this policy affordable. Please be sure to meet with a representative to see how you will be affected. All changes for this enrollment must be completed by May 16th. The changes will be effective for July 1, 2014 and deduction changes will impact your June 2014 paycheck.
