Phase 5: survey results SWIC Partnership College Health PTR Project March 28, 2011
Level of agreement that the PTR solution will improve the Program of Study (n=5)
Level of agreement with sustaining the PTR solution (n=5)
Level of agreement with extending PTR to other POS (n=5)
Level of Confidence that PTR Process will be used with other POS (n=5)
Open-ended comments about sustaining the PTR solution(s): • The team is committed, with support of the college • Don’t know how realistic it is – “other deans would have to come on board with own ideas and VP and President would have to commit resources and money”
Open-ended comments about using PTR with other Programs of Study: • Other programs with technical education and the business division have expressed interest • Leaders will meet in April to determine what POS will be the focus of PTR in FY12
Greatest Challenges to Sustaining PTR solution(s): • Making sure the solution and continued re-assessment is incorporated with procedure/policy and “getting buy-in from all stakeholders” (2 respondents mention stakeholder buy-in) • Funding • Finding the right fit. Process needs to be explained and sold. Hiring freeze means people are doing more with less. • Maintaining a strong communication connection between the high school counselors and SWIC personnel. Keeping part-time SWIC counselors informed.
Greatest Challenges to Extending PTR to Other Programs of Study: • Division will not be involved unless POS is in own division • Content and intent of our PTR process may not be compatible with other POS • Money, time and personnel are all in short supply. New projects will be very challenging to launch • Funding at both the secondary and postsecondary levels • Buy-in from other potential stakeholders
Respondents (5): PTR Team Member 80% Partner 20% Number meetings attended (5): 1-3 20% 4-6 60% More than 6 20%
