PROJECT: • The Consultancy Assignment for Information, Education and Communication (IEC) strategy development, implementation through selected field NGOs, designing, planning, training, monitoring, evaluation and documentation under Basic Services for Urban Poor (BSUP) Integrated Housing and Slum Development Programme (IHSDP) of Central Government sponsored JnNURM Schemes
Detail Description of Tasks – Lead NGO • 1. Preparation of Action Plan – 18 months • 2. Preparation of survey tool – Questionnaire • 3. Collection of Secondary Data • 4. Analysis of secondary Data • 5. Selection of Sample size for Need Assessment survey. • 6. Need Assessment Survey – separate for 5 region. • 7. Preparation of IEC strategy individually for all 5 region.
Detail Description of Tasks – Lead NGO • 8. Action plan for Field NGOs • 9. Monitoring and Evaluation of the FNGOs work according to Action Plan submitted. • 10. Documentation, Consolidation of Reports, IEC strategies. • 11. Finalization of reports and recommendations. • 12. Develop sustainability of the project even completion of the project period.
Activities for Field NGOs • Field NGOs were the actual performer of the activities based on NEED ASSESSMENT SURVEY. • Identification of targets groups and their needs. • Submission of Action Plan as per Need Assessment survey • Develop Linkages – community consultations • Establishing coordination • Implementation and management of IEC strategy
Activities for Field NGOs • Trainings – CBOs, Anganawadi workers, Slum Dwellers and local leaders. • Dissemination and utilization of information • IEC Day • Ward Education Programme • Satisfied customers contact programme • IEC Center ( Corner) • Social Marketing and IEC • IEC through quiz competitions • IEC through conducting social games • IEC through Street Plays, singing songs and drama • IEC through role plays and case studies
