A Surging App Economy • 466,000 jobs in the UnitedStates, up from zero in 2007 when the iPhonewas introduced. • The overall App Economy generated almost$20 billion in revenue in 2011. • The globalmobile phone app industry would reach to a humongous $17.5 billion by 2012 • The BaaS industry was valued at €216.5 million in 2012 with a projected rising to €7.7 billion by 2017.
