Sexual Reproduction • Production of offspring from the combination of genetic material from two parent organisms.
Kingdom • In taxonomy, a group of similar phyla or divisions. • Largest and most general category in taxonomy.
Domain • One of three large groups that all living things fall into.
Population • Organisms of the same species living together in the same area.
Community • Populations of organisms living in an ecosystem.
Ecosystem • All of the living and non-living things in an area that function as a system.
Prokaryote • any cellular organism that has no nuclear membrane, no organelles in the cytoplasm except ribosomes
Autotroph • An organism that makes its own food.
Heterotroph • An organism that gets its food by eating other organisms.
