Ø      Etablering av GRID-Arendal som nasjonalt kompetansesenter for miljøbistand i FN-regi Ø      FN-universitetet i Arendal med 1000 studenter i 2009 Ø      Etablering av avdeling for UN-HABITAT i Arendal Ø      Arendal som FN-konferanseby Ø      Princes award Ø      FN-hus og internasjonal skole tilknyttet FN (modell Bonn) • Etablere hav- og kyst realterte FN aktiviteter med utgangspunkt i kompetanse allerede lokalisert i Arendalsregionen (Flødevigen, Gard, Kystverket, AsplanViak, NIVA,UNEP-Shelf program, og mulige private aktører)
