In order to attract people, clubs need to proactively plan the inclusion of people with disabilities in their programmes……should be done as part of the clubs development plan (DSNI guidelines 2006)

Strand 1. ‘GAA For ALL’ Coach Education Workshop Programme Cookstown 11.09.06 Belfast 24.10.06 Enniskillen 20.11.06 Newry 04.12.06 Ballymena 29.01.07 Derry 07.03.07 Cavan 12. 02.07 Donegal 19.02.07 (Follow up courses will continue)
Course Outline Unit 1: Facts and inclusion Unit 2: The player/pupil Unit 3: The coach/ teacher Unit 4: Practical and subject application
Strand 2- Have a go-GAA! In Schools across Ulster 1- Welcome. 2- Demonstration and Stations. (Specific to special need)
Strand 3. Regional Blitzes Have a go- for players! ( 3 Regional venues, June 2007) Contacts : Una McKay, Diarmaid Marsden and Paul Callaghan Venues: Belfast, Armagh, Derry
Strand 3. Schools Proposal -September 07 1.Schools Coaches/GPO’s approached to coach a 4-6 week block in one year group in a school (Trial period March- June 07 in specific counties) 2.To date several schools are interested in this coaching scheme 3. PGCE and Teaching practice students (UUJ and St.Mary’s etc…) will be monitored and numbers of participants in the programme will be noted.
