NFC User Group Updates • Entry, Processing, Inquiry, and Correction System (EPIC) User Group • Completed Quality Assurance Testing for EPIC Web on June 19, 2009. Scheduled Implementation Pay Period 15, 2009 • Transition training in Washington DC, Completed • Next meeting September 9, 2009 • T&A User Group • Modification to Leave Error Report, proposal was agreed on and was sent to GESD for implementation (Project # 90467) • Reports User Group • Project 90405 Probationary Period Trial Report in RFQS; modified to correct the one-year calculation period from 366 days to 365. Implemented in Pay Period 10, 2009
NFC User Group Updates • EmpowHR User Group • Project – Insertion of Multiple PARS (Project # 80124) • Working on the adding of over-ride codes (Project # 70435) • Next Meeting July 16, 2009 Front End System Interface (FESI) User Group • FESI test window for 2009 2/23/09 – 3/27/09 (completed) 6/15/09 – 7/17/09 10/19/09 – 11/20/09
NFC User Group Updates • Benefits User Group • HR 1256 “Elimination of TSP Waiting Periods” will be implemented in Pay Period 16, 2009 • Retirement System Modernization (RSM), NFC continues to work with OPM on data elements and method of transmitting data • Employee Personal Page (EPP) User Group • NFC is moving toward developing it’s WEB application in a new technology. Client/NFC Acceptance Testing Environment (CATE) • Client/NFC Acceptance Testing Environment (CATE) • Creation of a user friendly, end-to-end UAT environment to expedite the testing process which will mirror the production environment. • User participation in testing of software modifications before moving the modifications to production to ensure validity of software changes. • CATE will allow for the storage and processing of 50,000 accounts and associated historical data (PHIS, ADJP-HIST) with 250 users. • Upon completion of all phases, Clients will enter documents via any “Front-End” system and data will flow to the Reporting Center. True end-to-end testing. • Will have bi-directional feed capabilities for all third party applications (i.e. HR Connect, WebTA, LTC, etc.).
Client/NFC Acceptance Testing Environment (CATE) • Initially CATE is for the end-to-end Scheduled Release testing. • Clients will develop tests cases for the system modifications being tested and will submit SSNs in support of those test cases. • Phase One (Payroll / Personnel Applications) scheduled for implementation PP 20 2009, October 5, 2009

Client/NFC Acceptance Testing Environment (CATE) • FESI Test Windows are independent from CATE and will remain on pre-scheduled testing windows. • Future Phases will include Employee Personal Page (EPP), Reporting Center, Accounting Applications. • CATE will improve process, quality, and performance.
NFC Customer Satisfaction Survey • Contracted with 3rd party vendor (Claes Fornell International - CFI Group) to conduct annual Customer Satisfaction Survey • All 170 customer agencies will be surveyed using participates received from agency contacts • Web-based survey launched by CFI on July 9, 2009 • Respondent percentage will be monitored and reminders sent out periodically • Results and final report will be compiled in late-summer

Earnings and Leave Statements • Approximately 640,000 employees paid • Roughly 96% of active employees have EPP data loaded • Less than 30% are paperless • Remaining 437,500 “mailed” ELS will cost customers approximately $5M in 2010 • Mailed ELS account for majority of privacy act issues • Please consider the paperless option in out-year planning
