Workshop Report Game Technology Standards – Winter 2009 • Workshop overview: • Held 3 Feb 09 in Los Angeles, sponsored by SAB & T&C. • Purpose: to establish a roadmap for game engineering technology standards. • Attendees: GameSIG (Orange County), TFGT. • Key Issues (Standards): • Convincing game tech industry who think we do not need standards. • Working with other standards committees. • Industry outreach. • Key Issues (Technical): • GameSIG (Orange County) feels isolated. • Members are a ready source for game engineering articles. • Relationships with TFGT and other tech committees (Visualization & Graphics TC, Human Interface and Artificial Intelligence, Audio).
