  3. John Pemberton’s childhood • John Pemberton was born on January 8, 1831, in Knoxville. He went to the local schools in Rome, Georgia. He was licensed to practice surgery and pharmaceutical medicine.

  4. What were his main inventions? • His main invention was the Coca-Cola. • He sold the final shares of his company for $1,750.

  5. Who invented the chocolate chip cookie? • Ruth Wakefield invented the chocolate chip cookie in 1930. • Accidental invention.

  6. What was her childhood like? • She was born in June 17 1903. • She graduated from the Framingham State Normal School in 1924.

  7. What was her main invention? • Her main invention was the chocolate chip cookie. Nestle bought her recipe and gave her a life time supply of chocolate bars. They still print her recipe on the back of cookie dough packages to this day.
