“Studies on Harmonization of Customs Law and Contributions of the Academy for updating and improving the WCO Instruments” WORLD MEETING OF CUSTOMS LAW BRUSSELS 2013 4, 5 - 6 September • CONCLUSIONS • In the era of globalization The Framework of Guidance is the basis for the implementation of professional and educational standards at the regional and national levels. • The national educational standards in the field of Customs function as an instrument of modernization of education. • It is possible and necessary to carry out actions based on scientific data and on the regional/national contexts. For sustained progress and capacity building it is important to apply a truly multisectoral approach. • Changesin the approach to CB will be gradual(a clear plan of long-term sustainable measures and practically achievable short-term and intermediate goals). • Trade Facilitation is the most important Results of CB Implementation • Awareness and understanding of the Framework among the guidance • stakeholders tend to be related to the level of their engagement with it in • their day-to-day activities.
