Cosplayers • a type of performance art in which participants don costumes, Acting and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. • Originate in Japan but the wave has spread worldwide • Centered around role playing • Sources of inspiration from manga, anime, comic books and video games or movies

3. Cosplayers • Dramatic ourfits and styling • Very often make their outfits on their own • Inanimate objects are given anthropomorphic forms • Could usually switch gender

4. Cosplayers • They organize their own parties and meetings • You can also see them in conventions • In those conventions they compete for who has got the best outfit and they participate as teams or solo • They have their own magazines in Japan: Cosmode and Dengeki Layers

6. Emo • First appeared in the 80’s but became mainstream in the 00’s as many bands where were formed at that time • Started as a musical movement • The word comes from the term ‘emotional’ • Are mostly in the ages between 13 and 20

7. Emo • Emo was the worse nightmare of the parents • Emo kids were often suicidal because they claimed they had a lot of trouble in their life and where being rejected

8. Emo • They would usually: • Wear black clothes • Tight jeans • Do the make up like eye liner even if their boys • Have big hair and long fringe that is hiding their face
