What is Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature CINAHL is a specialised database / search engine that contains information (or “citations” / “references”) on publications about nursing. This information includes author, title, publication year, summary/abstract Some Full-text (the actual document) is available in PDF format Library subscription Contents of CINAHL may not be searchable in Google Scholar 20

Too Few Results? • Click on Find Similar Results in CINAHL • Use a truncation mark * to find variants of a word (e.g. analy*) • Identify more synonyms and keywords 28
Too Many Results? • Identify more specific keywords (e.g. immunization instead of public health) • Limit the search results to particular options (e.g. published after 2005) • Reduce the number of keywords 29
