Letter from a Character to a Character • Pretend to be one of the characters from the novel The Outsiders. • Example: I choose to be Johnny. • Choose another character to write a letter to • Example: I choose to be Johnny and as Johnny I will write a letter to Dally. • Write a letter that includes at least 3 details from the text and reflects the character you chose to be. • Write in that character’s voice. • Use word choice that fits the character. • Example: As Johnny I may apologize to Dally for getting him involved in my troubles. • Your letter should be a page long.
