  2. God Invades Our BrokennessAt Bethlehem! Luke 2:10-11 - “Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be for all people; for unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” Emmanuel – “God with us”John 1:14 – “And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory…”

Results: Reconciliation! “God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself not counting their trespasses against them…” (2 Corinthians 5:19) Methodology: 1) He offers forgiveness of sin “not counting trespasses” 2) By virtue of the CROSS // gift of myrrh?? 3) We experience rebirth; restoration;4) He commissions us to be peacemakers!

  4. First Steps! Matthew 5:9 Peace is “made” The 2014 Vision– a community wherethe Spirit ofJesus reigns; His people makefirst steps to reconciliation!

  5. Butter/Sugar No Chance In a Microwave! = Conviction

God’s Vision of Peace = Shalom Peace “on all sides” prophesied in Isaiah 11Isaiah 11:1 – “Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse…”vs. 6 – “And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the kid…vs. 9 – “For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea…” Peace with God; yourself; others
