  4. When do I get to play with it? Right now! …but first, a word about InDesign templates versus FrameMaker “templates” Now, from the Start menu, select All Programs, open the Adobe folder, and find InDesign on your computer Let’s walk through the menu options, toolbars and palettes (we’ll convert your FrameMaker file for importing into InDesign later)

  5. Preparing your FrameMaker contentfor InDesign Launch FrameMaker and open your project content file From the File menu, select Save As… In the Save as type: dropdown, select the Microsoft RTF1.6 (*.rtf) option, and save your file to your project folder

  6. Getting your content into InDesign Launch InDesign (if it’s not already open) Create a new document From the File menu, select New, then select Document (CS3 will provide additional options). Now we’ll discuss the New Document dialog From the File menu, select the Place… command (or use the Ctrl+D keyboard shortcut) In the Place dialog, locate the RTF file you saved from FrameMaker (be careful not to select any of the Word RTF files you created at the beginning of the course), click on the Show Import Options checkbox. Now we’ll discuss the Import Options dialog
